My First Vacation

I went with my parents on our first family vacation. We went to Tennessee, Georgia and North Carolina with some unscheduled stops in Indiana and Kentucky. I got to see a lot of cool things.

On the way down we stopped at the Corvette Museum because I was getting cranky and really needed out of my car seat, my butt was numb. I got to see lots of corvettes. One lady told me that my mom and dad would buy me one when I am 16.

We got back on the road and made it to our first stop, Chattanooga, TN. We went to Lookout Mountain in Rock City, GA. Rock City was very pretty. We got to walk through caves and tunnels and at the end we saw a beautiful waterfall. I had lots of fun. My favorite part was all the flags at the top of Lookout Mountain.

Lover's Leap

After Chattanooga we headed to North Carolina to visit family. I had a good time there too. Unfortunately, I managed to bump my head on the floor a few times, it hurt, but it's all good now. We ate dinner at Mexican Restaurant where I really discovered my voice. I was making all kinds of funny noises, all the people eating there thought I was funny. Mommy and Daddy kept tell me to shhhhhh! What does that mean anyway?

After North Carolina we went back to Tennessee to go to Gatlinburg. On the way we stopped for breakfast at Shoney's. My Mommy said that her Grandpa always took her there when they visited. I got to eat applesauce and was so stuffed I totally puked all over myself, Daddy, and Shoney's. Don't think we'll be going back to that place anytime soon.

We finally made it to Gatlinburg. I was so happy to be out of my car seat again. I was on the floor playing with my mailbox while Daddy and Mommy got ready to go out. I decided I wanted to try something new. So I scooted over to the couch and pulled myself up. Mommy lost her mind, she was screaming for Daddy to come and see, all I was doing was standing, no big deal. I fell over pretty fast though! Thanks go my diapers are thick or I'd have a sore butt.

I liked Gatlinburg, got to do a lot of people watching. I got a lot of attention too. Everyone always tries to pinch my cheeks, I hate that.

Finally vacation was over and it was time to go home. It was such a long ride, but I was a good girl. We stopped at Steak and Shake in Indiana. I didn't get either a steak or a shake, no fair. I did get to have some applesauce though. I love that stuff.

Home at last! We made it home around 10:30 pm. I was wide awake after sleeping in the car for a few hours. Mommy put me on the floor at Grandma's house while her and Daddy unloaded the car. Guess what I did next. I crawled! Everyone was so happy I don't know why, its no big deal. Those grown ups get excited over silly things I guess.

I can't wait for our next vacation. I don't know where or when we'll go thought. Mommy said not till I can walk and carry my own stuff! Guess I'll have to work on that task!
